Pure soft merino wool hand-dyed with natural dye in the mountains of Valle d'Aosta, using wild herbs and flowers, dyeing plants grown in my garden and kitchen scraps.
These skeins were made with the solar vase technique, using only natural, mineral and vegetable components, and the heat of the sun to fix the color on the wool, thanks to which unique, brilliant and lively colors are obtained. This technique does not use other energy sources than solar energy and in addition to respecting man and the environment it is completely eco-sustainable. The skeins have a weight of 100 g for about 400 m, count 4/16000.
The yarn is very soft and can be worked with knitting needles or crochet hook No. 2.5 - 3.5, in weaving or with other manual and creative techniques. It's perfect for making one-of-a-kind clothing or accessories for adults and children. Being worked only with natural products, it allows you to create creations that do not cause allergies.
Each skein has its own personalized label, indicating the characteristics of the yarn, the plant used for the dyeing and the washing advice (hand wash in cold water with delicate soap and dry away from direct sunlight). These skeins are unique pieces, hand-dyed in small quantities, with the possibility of reproducing most of the colours.

I try to photograph the skeins so that the colors are as faithful as possible, but screens don't always render the colors the same.
