Dried Marigold patula and T. erecta flowers, hand-picked from plants sown, grown and cared for in my dyeing garden in the mountains of Valle d'Aosta (Italy), in a natural environment far from pollution without treatment, and dried in a dry and airy environment.
Marigold flowers can be used in natural dyeing to obtain beautiful yellow-orange shades depending on several variables during the color extraction and dyeing process.
It can be used from 100 to 200% of dried plant, according to the intensity of the color to be obtained.
It is possible to use successive dye baths thanks to the abundant amount of color contained in the flowers.
Marigold dyes alum-etched natural fibers orange-yellow, can dye green on cotton.
Shades of green can be obtained on fibers etched with iron or copper.
Packs of 25g, 50g, 100g or 200g are available.
